BOWI TIGER 84

A common phrase heard from students leaving or entering the gates of Booker Washington Agriculture and Industrial Institute is "Once a Tiger, always a Tiger." It is the spirit of this phrase, blended with the family fraternal culture orientation, that BWI impact has fostered loyal alumni and strong tides among its graduates for more than one hundred years.

The class of 1984 is no exception to this, we entered BWI as young students in the “business of getting affordable but achievable disciplines many years ago, as alumni, we switched position to being in the giving business” today.  The edge to giveback to our dearest Alma matter as a distinguished group of the family of BWI leads us to the creation of this website.  Don’t get me wrong, we have been in the giving back business since day one through individual membership to the larger Booker Washington Alumni Association. The class of 1984 (class name here) "meaning of class name" is a reflection of our past, a representation of our present and a link to our future. This family fraternity fosters ongoing relationships through an environment that invites and supports the inter-involvement of  every member of this class on the local, regional, national and international levels. We are very proud of the level of achievements that is exemplified through the output and contribution to society by graduates from this class.

Continue involvement with Booker Washington Institute after graduation is an exception and obligation of every former students of this class, irrespective of locality. Since 1984, we participated and continue to do so in variety of ways. We have been active participants in chapter activities, served mentors as well as held and or holding higher Offices of the BWIAA chapters in Liberia and the diasporas.

Alumni Association provides a vehicle for meeting, but in addition, to us interacting with classmates is a concept that is dearer to the code of our hearts and believes. There is a natural sense of semblance in the presence of a classmate. There are specific attractions to specific events for members of this class that are missing in our lives, which we enjoyed in our high school years at BWI. This website is therefore designed to enhance through these interactions. This website will serve as an instrument that will allow members of the class of 1984 more direct access to our reunion, wishes and rekindling of our memories; the website will also provide integrated communication such as email, chartroom, missing information, activities and occurring bulletin, plan yearly reunion, keep informed of one another’s wellbeing and an umbrella under which to conduct meetings and other events. Most importantly, this website will encourage members of the (class name) to engage the opportunities of providing the solutions and experiences that will refresh our togetherness twenty five years ago as classmates.  So for us what matters here is nothing more than to make sure we create the avenues to chat in a common community of our own and revisit the good old days spent on BWI.
